DAR, short for Daughters of the American Revolution, is a non-profit, non-political organization founded in 1890 with the mission to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Comprised of women who can trace their lineage back to a patriot who fought or aided in the American Revolution, the DAR works to honor and remember the sacrifices and achievements of our ancestors. Through various community service projects, educational programs, and genealogical research, the DAR strives to uphold the values and ideals of our nation’s founding while making a positive impact in our modern society.
