Definition : Multi-level marketing

Multi-level marketing, also known as network marketing, is a business model in which individuals act as independent distributors for a company’s products or services. These distributors not only earn a commission on their own sales, but also on the sales of the distributors they have recruited into the network. This creates a multi-level or hierarchical structure, where distributors can earn income from both their own efforts and the efforts of their team. While some view multi-level marketing as a legitimate business opportunity, others criticize it as a pyramid scheme that relies on constantly recruiting new members to sustain profits.
