Definition : Spam testing

Spam testing is the process of evaluating and analyzing the effectiveness of spam filters and other anti-spam measures in order to identify and prevent unwanted and unsolicited emails from reaching a user’s inbox. This involves sending simulated spam emails to a system and monitoring how they are handled, as well as testing the system’s ability to accurately distinguish between legitimate emails and spam. The goal of spam testing is to ensure that users are protected from the annoyance and potential harm of spam emails, while still allowing important and desired messages to be delivered without interference.
